    A second man charged with murder and arson in the Dec. 3 slaying of a Fitchburg man was held without bail Tuesday. Ramon Milan, 37, or Bridgeport, Connecticut, was arraigned Tuesday in Fitchburg District Court in the death of Kevin O. Cabrera, 21, of Fitchburg, who was found dead in his apartment by firefighters responding to a fire at 122 Laurel St. The victim's hands were bound behind him when he was located.

    FITCHBURG - The man who died in a fire on Laurel Street Saturday night had his hands bound behind his back with electrical wires and was reportedly beaten and pistol-whipped while his girlfriend hid in a bathroom and her 7-year-old son hid in a bedroom, according to court records. Jose Crespo, 32, and Ramon Millan, 37, both of Bridgeport, Connecticut, allegedly fled the apartment shortly after the fire started.

    Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal fire Saturday night on Laurel Street after a man's body was found badly burned with his arms tied behind his back, the targeted victim of a robbery, Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said. Two Bridgeport, Connecticut, residents who allegedly fled the apartment shortly after the fire started at 122 Laurel St. late Saturday night were held in Connecticut on charges of being fugitives from justice and will face charges in Fitchburg District Court of assault with a dangerous weapon, arson and armed home invasion, Mr. Early said.

    Two men were arrested Sunday in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on charges stemming from a fatal nighttime fire on Laurel Street in Fitchburg, according to Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. Authorities have not released the name of the victim of the fire at 122 Laurel St. The two-alarm blaze, which was reported at 10:36 p.m. Saturday, remains under investigation. Firefighters who put out the fire found the dead man in the apartment, badly burned, with his hands apparently tied behind his back, Mr. Early said.
