    The Coast Guard has issued a $5,000 fine to a man who intentionally jumped overboard from a Washington state ferry before the vessel left the Bremerton, Washington, ferry terminal. The agency said Wednesday that the man suffered "significant injuries" when he jumped off the ferry Kaleetan on March 21. Ferry crew members in a rescue boat retrieved him.

    Kitsap County prosecutors have charged a 17-year-old driver with three counts of vehicular homicide in a weekend rollover crash that killed three Olympic High School students. The Kitsap Sun reports that Deputy Prosecutor Julie Gaffney says the Bremerton boy told sheriff's deputies that he was driving 75 mph in a 45-mph zone and had smoked marijuana about an hour before the 3 a.m. Sunday crash.
