    On Tuesday, Nov. 16, Janice Reed Stueart of Breckenridge was sentenced to seven years in prison by a Stephens County jury in the 90th District Court for theft of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 by a public servant, a first degree felony. Stueart, who plead guilty to the charge on Oct. 22 and was free on bond while waiting sentencing, elected to have a jury decide her punishment.

    Breckenridge city commissioners voted Tuesday night to pursue eminent domain to obtain the final four properties needed for a softball field project to be built along Roberts Avenue between Elliott Street and Gaddis Street near City Park. According to Breckenridge City Manager Andy McCuistion, Brad Woodward has been working with Kevin King to acquire some of the last properties needed for the softball field project and Woodward then planned donating them to the city.
