    Monday night at 9:00, Indiana State Police and Vigo County emergency agencies were called to a one-vehicle rollover crash in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the 15 mile marker. Police say that a car driven by 17-year-old Mica Littlejohn of Brazil, IN., was eastbound on I-70 near the 15mm, when she traveled over the right edge rumble strips, overcorrected and traveled into the median eventually rolling end over end and coming to rest on its top.

The project on U.S. 40 replaced the pavement from State Road 340 to Wal-Mart on the east side of town and on S.R. 340 from west of Waterworks Road to U.S. 40. The drainage was improved with new storm drainage structures, curbs and gutters.

    An Illinois woman has been sentenced for her role in an October 2014 crash that killed a Clay County woman and critically injured her passenger. 50 year old Dawn Lin LaFountain was sentenced to eight years in prison and will have to pay over $50,000 to help cover the funeral expenses of 20 year old Fernanda Martinez of Brazil and medical expenses of Yeslie Perez-Lopez.
