    TOWNSHEND >> A 31-year-old Townshend man was arrested Tuesday and cited with aggravated assault following an investigation into a stabbing incident that happened Monday night around 11 p.m. According to a press release from the Vermont State Police, Oscar Cruz was taken into custody after the alleged victim told investigators he was stabbed in the abdomen while at Cruz's residence in Townshend. The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where he underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition.

Luc Beaubien, who previously worked two stints as president and general manager for GAW High Speed Internet, sent a statement to all of the company's roughly 500 customers saying that Homero Josh Garza has not operated the company for about a year and a half.

    BRATTLEBORO >> On Sunday, July 5, both the northbound and southbound Exit 3 onramps of Interstate 91 will be closed from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to reduce congestion in the southbound lanes of the highway caused by merging traffic. Local southbound traffic will be rerouted to Route 5 south to Exit 1, and local northbound traffic will be rerouted on Route 5 north to Exit 4. Deputies with the Windham County Sheriff's Office will assist in directing traffic.
