    On Tuesday, Dec. 13, four towns in Brattleboro Union High School District #6 - Brattleboro, Guilford, Dummerston, and Putney - will vote on whether or not to allow Vernon to leave the district. Vernon voters have already expressed their desire to leave the district and withdraw from any merger of the other four towns that might be proposed under Act 46. In a recent interview, Alice Laughlin, chairwoman of the Windham Southeast Supervisory Union Act 46 Study Committee, discussed the decision concerning Vernon.
