Fire departments from Helena, Brasher-Winthrop, Hogansburg-Akwesasne and West Stockholm were sent shortly after 4 p.m. to the home of Michael and Cathy Nezezon, 1310A County Route 53. Tri-Town Rescue was also on the scene.

    State police on Sunday charged Jonathan W. Cogdill, 26, of 511 Hurley Road, Brasher Falls, with misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Troopers charge that about 8:20 p.m. at 20 Parker Ave., in the village, Mr. Cogdill was being interviewed by state police regarding an unrelated burglary investigation when he was found in possession of a small amount of heroin.

French, 28, of 1660 County Route 53, Brasher Falls, with first-degree operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both misdemeanors. He was also cited with unlawful possession of marijuana, failing to keep right and unsafe movement of stopped motor vehicle.
