    Thanks to credible tips and good old fashioned investigative work, the Braidwood police were able to shut down an operating meth lab in a Braidwood neighborhood. Braidwood Police Chief Nick Ficarello said that police, assisted by a special response team from the Illinois State Police, raided a home in the 400 block of West Second Street around 7 p.m. Inside, according to the report, police found an operating crystal methamphetamine lab, in the process of cooking a batch of the controlled substance.
