Good, 25, of Bradley, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content greater than .08 on March 25. According to a report, an officer on patrol observed a Chevrolet Silverado drifting out of its lane on South Main Street. At the station, Good agreed to take a Breathalyzer with a result of .177.

    Last year, when the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development shifted its priorities in funding, the Salvation Army's men's, women's and children's shelters in Kankakee were forced to close their doors. They worked with those staying in the shelters at the time to find places to stay and developed a new program offering sheltering services off-site, but still, many homeless people remain on the streets in inclement weather.
