    Wells Fargo Bank - which operates branches in Pottstown, Boyertown, Limerick, Phoenixville, and Collegeville - has been hit by the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau with a $4 million penalty for what it called "illegal student loan servicing practices," The Philadelphia Business Journal reported Monday . The bureau accused the bank of impairing customers' ability to minimize costs and fees, misrepresenting the value of making partial payments, charging illegal late fees, and failure to update and correct inaccurate information reported to credit reporting companies.

    Lower Pottsgrove police officers were among those providing assistance Friday at 7:50 a.m. to the New Hanover Police Department in the arrest of a male subject who allegedly yelled obscenities while exposing himself in the Gilbertsville neighborhood of Heather Lane and Woodlark Circle , according to a report from New Hanover Police Chief Kevin McKeon. At one point during his tirade the man, whose name, age and home address have not yet been released, allegedly also exposed himself at a distance to a Boyertown School District bus filled with elementary-age children.
