After a summer of watching the candidates for the job put in work both on the field and in the weight room, the Bowdon head coach feels comfortable going with whoever emerges on top.

    Bowdon will celebrate its 165th birthday when as many as 5,000 people line the streets outside Copeland Hall to celebrate Founders Day on Saturday, Aug. 4. This year's event will include a 5K, the first annual "Preserve Our Town" jellies and jams competition, vendors, crafts, entertainment and living museum history tours. Applicants for the Bowdon Founders Day parade have until Friday to submit their applications and fees ahead of the event.
