Reid said that about 9:50 a.m., the semi and the van, traveling together westbound on Arapahoe Road, turned on hazard lights before stopping to turn right into the driveway of Lightning Eliminators and Consultants, just east of Boulder.

At 11:33 a.m., a group of seven to eight motorcycle riders coming out of the closed Boulder Canyon ignored the road closure at Ninth Street and Canyon Boulevard, according to Boulder police spokeswoman Shannon Cordingly.
