    Boulder police closed the RTD transit center and cleared the area around the downtown post office at 1905 15th St. this morning after what turned out to be an empty package was left unattended on the post office steps. The Boulder County Bomb Squad responded and deployed a robot to investigate the item, which police said was heavily taped, had no apparent address on it, and was inscribed with Cyrillic lettering.
