The Boulder man accused of driving a military-style truck into a mine shaft in the Boulder County foothills last month - killing both of his teenage passengers - was formally charged Friday with two counts of vehicular homicide.

From July 10 through July 27, Boulder County deputies have issued five tickets, given six warnings and responded to eight other campfires in which they were unable to find any people at the site, according to Boulder County Sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Haverfield.

    It has been a long time since badgers have roamed the prairies of Boulder so why not reintroduce them on the 10 acres located in north Boulder at the old National Guard property? It is a natural habitat with a good food supply for happy badgers. If they are thought to be too big a predator for the property then how about ferrets? Both would do well while helping these two threatened species.
