    According to Xcel Energy, the current number of customers without power is now aroun 600, with 350 to 400 of those in the Canyon area. Xcel said that the Amarillo jobs are completed, so they are trying to boost the restoration teams in Canyon by moving more resources there.

    Recent storms forced the Hutchinson County Library to close for now, until county supervisors figure out a plan to get the library reopened. A sign posted on the window is to inform people the library is closed and people will now have to travel to other library branches in Fritch or in Stinnett.

    A 15-year-old driver failed to stop at a stop sign causing a wreck that put all three minors in the vehicle in the hospital. On July 8 at 2:49 p.m., the Pampa Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at 23rd Ave. and Price Rd. Initial information received was that at least one occupant of the vehicle had been ejected.
