    What appeared to officers with the Yadkinville Police Department as a simple domestic disturbance call quickly escalated into an elusive high speed chase through two counties Tuesday night. When officers arrived on the scene at Burger King in Yadkinville to investigate the disturbance, Kevin G. Brown, 35, of Dudley Road in Yadkinville, allegedly turned from officers and quickly ran to his vehicle.

    On Wednesday, detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff's Office seized more than 400 pounds of marijuana with a street value of more than $250,000 from an indoor grow operation. Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on North Oak Ridge Church Road in Boonville and seized around 100 mature marijuana plants, two ounces of dried marijuana and two guns.
