When a questioner asked what could be done to ensure that marijuana smoking doesn't invade public spaces, Janice Yost, the founding president of the Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, who opposes the ballot question, quipped that he should stay off the highways, suggesting that there would be more drugged driving.

This year's weather conditions, including warm temperatures in early winter followed by a February freeze, wiped out some of the state's stone fruits, such as peaches, but the apple crop has fared a little better.
