    A 45-year-old Blythewood man has been convicted of stealing more than $1.5 million from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Social Security Administration following a seven-day jury trial in Columbia. U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said Dennis Paulsen faces a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison and fines of $500,000, along with forfeiture of the more than $1.5 million.
