    A planned widening of U.S Highway 441 from outside Watkinsville to near Madison is still years away, but it's still one of the hottest issues in Oconee County. Construction isn't set to begin until 2021, but as soon as next summer, the DOT expects to have a revised concept plan, with completion of preliminary plans by summer 2018 and right of way acquisition beginning that fall.
