After visiting Tennessee over the weekend, Miller confirmed that his tweet indicates he's ending his recruiting, including cancelling next weekend's visit to Florida, and plans to sign with Auburn on Feb. 7. "It's shut down," Miller said in a Twitter message to AL.com.

    A federal judge in Birmingham has ruled that Jefferson County can pursue legal action against a sewage sludge transfer operation that the County says is violating its zoning law. Judge Abdul Kallon of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama lifted a temporary restraining order that prevented Jefferson County from enforcing zoning laws against the Sumiton Timber company, which owns a rail yard in western Jefferson County where sewage sludge is shipped by train from New York and New Jersey.
