Marc Lombardo is taking another shot at getting mobile homes counted as affordable housing in Billerica to reduce the city's exposure to a state law that forces municipalities to allow the construction of a certain percentage of low-income housing units. The bill would allow municipalities to include any housing as part of the 10 percent affordable housing required under the state's Chapter 40B law if the unit remains "affordable" for five consecutive years.

    I have only lived in Billerica four years with my two young boys, and have been very happy with how the community is run, especially the school system. The town I lived in previously had higher taxes and it took one year to get my children the extra help they needed at school, which was minimal at best because they have a learning disability.

Emergency crews were called to a wooded area behind the Billerica Country Club on Baldwin Road about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, where they found the man suffering from serious injuries according to police.
