The interview was with a gentleman representing Taste of Carmel, an annual fundraising event that is being held Thursday, and he described the event as “the party of the year.” Not having ever attended, I can't corroborate that assessment, but it does sound like fun if you have the money to drop on a food and wine, plus some beer, extravaganza.

During a workshop, the commission was presented with a proposal that would simply strike the word “medical” from a series of ordinances regulating marijuana operations in the unincorporated county, which would make existing rules apply to all cannabis activity under the county's oversight.
