    A driver who police say caused a Sunday crash that injured one person told deputies he was watching the operator of another vehicle when he ran a stop sign at the corner of Butternut Drive and Quincy Street. Police say James Harter, 76, of Big Rapids, was driving east on Quincy when he failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a car driven by Emily Wolters, who was heading north on Butternut after stopping at the four-way controlled intersection.

Mecosta County sheriff's deputies were called after a friend of the victims reported a fight between the male and female residents of a home along Jefferson Road in Aetna Township.
