A flood advisory expired at 6:45 p.m. and a National Weather Service flash flood watch for the Inland valleys expired by 10 p.m. Nevertheless, Corona city officials kept a mandatory evacuation in place overnight for residents of about 150 homes south of the 91 freeway in the Sierra Del Oro neighborhood.

"This is part of the story of bald eagle population recovery nationwide. Only a few decades ago, bald eagles were considered an endangered species," Robin Eliason, a U.S. Forest Service biologist, said in a news release.
