    Bald eagles were spotted in the vicinity of Lakes Hemet and Perris during the U.S. Forest Service's first eagle count of the winter season, rangers said today, Mon., Dec. 15. The USFS began its 37th annual eagle census on Saturday, and participating volunteers verified a pair of adult eagles nesting in the area of Lake Hemet, while bird watchers about 25 miles north at Lake Perris confirmed one adult eagle in the area. Eagles were also counted around Big Bear Lake and Lake Silverwood in San Bernardino County, according to Forest Service spokesman John Miller.
