    The Barrow County Sheriff's Office concluded a month-long narcotics investigation in the early morning hours of Thursday, Dec. 17, with a search warrant at 622 Bridle Creek Drive in Bethlehem. Approximately 70 grams of methamphetamine were located, along with an assortment of prescription pills and marijuana.

    Advance voting dates have been set for the upcoming runoff election for the vacant District 3 seat on the Barrow County Board of Commissioners. Elections supervisor Monica Franklin said advance voting will be for a one-week time frame from Oct. 5-9, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The actual election date will be Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Once again voting will take place at The Church of Winder precinct at 546 Treadwell Road in Bethlehem.

A representative of the group reported that the trailer was left on Jessica Court in Bethlehem on property that a new home was being built on. The trailer contained numerous power and hand tools as well as folding chairs and a canopy.

    A month-long investigation of the Barrow County Sheriff's Office Crime Task Force and the Walton County Sheriff's Office resulted in a seizure of drugs on June 9. Sheriff's investigators executed a search warrant at 1165 Blakewood Lane in Bethlehem which netted the seizure of controlled substances, cash and firearms. Investigators discovered a downstairs room in the home used to "cook" cocaine.

    Officers of the Winder Police Department responded to a complaint of minor property damage on Buena Vista Street in Winder Wednesday evening, May 20. While investigating the incident, police were led to 37 Buena Vista Street where an odor of raw marijuana could be smelled from outside the residence. Police obtained a search warrant for the residence based on the reasonable belief that marijuana was being manufactured inside the home.
