    Non-conference opponent Cohasset was put on the schedule of the Somerset Berkley Regional High School field hockey team to give the Blue Raiders some tougher competition to get them ready for the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association state tournament. And the Lady Skippers certainly gave SBRHS more of a challenge than most teams have this season, but in the end, Somerset Berkley was victorious, winning 2-0 on the artificial turf at Hanson Memorial Field.

    The state announced Wednesday the campground at the East Taunton park will reopen Aug. 24 after a closure that dates back to a disruptive lightning storm in 2008.
