    Olivia Lucianno, a freshman at Somerset Berkley Regional High School, has been nominated to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Washington, D.C. from Nov. 14 to Nov. 16. The Congress is an honors-only program for students who want to become physicians or go into medical research fields. The purpose of this event is to honor, inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the country who aspire to be physicians or medical scientists, to stay true to their dream and, after the event, to provide a path, plan and resources to help them reach their goal.

The selectmen have discussed having the special town meeting the first week in December and since the meetings are always held on Mondays, that would put the date on Dec. 1. Selectmen Chairman Donald Setters, Jr. said Dec. 1 is a tentative date for the special town meeting, depending on the availability of the performing arts center at Somerset Berkley Regional High School where it would be held.

In the low scoring game, the Falcons threatened to score on several occasions, but whether it was by creating a turnover or with a big tackle, the Somerset Berkley defense always held as the Blue Raiders went on to a 14-0 win.
