    Carbone Auto Group, which already has dealerships in Utica, Yorkville and Rome, as well as in Bennington, Vt., plans a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting this afternoon at its new showroom at 800 Hoosick Road, Brunswick. An open house runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. The first Carbone dealership dates from the 1920s.

    A Vermont man pleaded not guilty Thursday night to touching a boy in a Dave and Buster's bathroom at Crossgates Mall on March 20. Nathan D. Harrington , 38, of Bennington, Vt., faces charges including forcible touching, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors. He was advised at Guilderland Town Court to stay away from all Dave and Buster's establishments and to not make contact with anyone involved in the incident.

    In reaction to an 11-year-old boy being allegedly assaulted in the bathroom of Dave and Buster's at Crossgates Mall Friday, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said the "stranger danger" talk with kids can only go so far - companies should be more vigilant in making their restroom areas safe - particularly if the business caters to children. At around 2:57 p.m. Friday, the boy came out of the bathroom and said a man had put his arms around him and tried to touch his penis while the boy was standing at one of the urinals, Guilderland police said.

    Earnest "Ernie" Hemmings, who founded Hemmings Motor News, considered the "bible" of car collectors, died last month at a nursing home in his hometown Quincy, Ill. Ernie Hemmings sold the popular magazine in the late 1960s to Terry Ehrich, who moved it to Bennington, Vt., where it is still published with a staff of about 100.
