    Officials at the Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol said 63-year-old Jay Garcia of Bellefontaine died from injuries sustained in the crash in Jefferson Township. Troopers said Garcia was driving a Chevrolet Monte Carlo northwest on U.S. Route 33, just past County Road 5, at about 7:12 a.m. when the car veered to the left into the median and struck the end of a guardrail.

Sonny Ray Scott, 67, was free on bond, living in the same mobile home where Blanche Cowen had died in March of one of the worst cases of neglect Logan County sheriff's detectives say they had ever seen.
