    Town of Belleair Commissioners are worried that a proposed House bill in Tallahassee could dramatically change the look and feel of Belleair and they intend to oppose the bill and let state lawmakers know how they feel. The matter surfaced at the Town Commission meeting on March 7. Commissioner Karla Rettstatt brought it up and expressed fear that the bill, which would allow wireless communication equipment to be placed on the community's rights of way, would override any local jurisdiction to prevent it.

    Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies released the results of the overnight countywide DUI Wolf Pack that occurred Friday night, March 3,-Saturday morning, March 4. Deputies were joined by police officers from Belleair, Kenneth City, Gulfport and St. Petersburg, as well as troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol and G4S Prisoner Transportation.

    In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries and deaths, Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies and other local law enforcement officers will conduct a Wolf Pack operation in Pinellas County over the weekend of March 3-4. Deputies, in conjunction with police officers from Belleair, Kenneth City, Gulfport and St. Petersburg, as well as troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol will maintain a proactive profile over the weekend on the highly traveled roadways of Pinellas County.
