    Crews continued their efforts today to repair damage caused when a tanker truck loaded with gasoline tipped onto its side and burst into flames on the southbound Long Beach Freeway in Bell. The tanker, which fire officials said was hauling 8,500 gallons of gasoline, overturned about 3:25 p.m. Sunday on the southbound freeway near Florence Avenue and caught fire, sending a plume of smoke that could be seen for miles.

The chase began about 1:25 p.m. in the 4000 block of Cimarron Street in Los Angeles and ended at 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of 103rd and Alameda streets in Watts, when a police sport utility vehicle executed a precision intervention technique maneuver that sent the Prius into a spin before it was pinned by three police SWAT vehicles, two of them armored.
