    When the Bible commands Christians to love their neighbors, what if it really means what it says? That's the simple, fundamental idea behind Beaverton Christian Church's plans to hold a Neighborhood Party at its campus located at 13600 S.W. Allen Blvd. on July 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. "The goal is to have fun and get to know our neighbors," according to Shelli Gravdahl, the children's ministry director. The event will have a carnival-like atmosphere with games, prizes, face painting, bungee jumping, rock climbing wall, cotton candy, popcorn, and interactive inflatable play for the younger kids.

His friend, Fernando Chaires, 23, was also shot and seriously wounded but is expected to survive, said Officer Mike Rowe, a Beaverton Police spokesman.
