Kristy Cook allowed just four hits in the opener, and Ashlie Layman pitched a three-hitter for the Sand Sharks as USCB has recorded five consecutive shutouts.

The Sand Sharks took an early lead and held onto it in the opener, and rallied from a three-run deficit to tie it up in the ninth in the second game, but the Fire pushed across the tying run in their portion of the inning.

Application forms are posted online for parents to download and complete, and paper copies are available at all district schools.
