A press release from the Red River Gorge Climbers' Coalition announced that the purchase of this recreation preserve will secure access to a set of popular climbing areas including Motherlode, the Chocolate Factory, the Bear's Den, and the The Red River Gorge Climbers' Coalition said that in early July, the people who owned the land decided to sell the property, which put the climbing areas at risk of closure.
