    A federal judge has spared Exxon Mobil from any additional penalty for air pollution from its Baytown refinery complex, saying the oil giant had made a good-faith effort to comply with regulations. The decision by U.S. District Judge David Hittner was a defeat for the two environmental groups that sued the Irving-based company over thousands of accidental releases at the complex, about 20 miles east of Houston.

Jeanette Williams is charged in the alleged incident, which occurred Nov. 1 at 701 San Jacinto, according to court documents in the case.
