    Bay St. Louis Mayor Les Fillingame on Friday delivered city council members a notice that he intends to veto their action earlier this week to go after his surety bond company to repay funds diverted from the U.S. Department of Justice forfeiture account. At Tuesday's council meeting, third-party auditor Becky Hammond - hired to investigate funds apparently diverted from the "Equitable Sharing" account as part of DOJ compliance - asked city leaders to make a decision to either transfer about $300,000 dollars back into the account or else she could submit a partial report on her findings and the city could risk losing participation in the program and would have to pay the money directly back to the DOJ.
