    Residents around southern Berrien County are cleaning up after they were surprised with a stronger storm than they expected on Monday afternoon. From Bridgman to Baroda to Buchanan, trees were knocked down in the line of storms that passed through the area around 2 p.m. The downed trees led to some roads being unpassable Monday, while the Berrien County power outage total at its peak was more than 8,900.

Around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, an officer with the Baroda-Lake Township Police Department was dispatched to a home in the 8,800 block of Red Arrow Highway on a call about a disturbance.
