    The Board of Supervisors formally adopted a development impact fee schedule on Jan. 12. The fee will require developers with projects in unincorporated communities of Riverside County to pay gradually higher fees as part of the county's permitting process. In a 3-1 vote, with Supervisor Kevin Jeffries opposed, the board implemented the DIF schedule with a phase-in period of 24 months, beginning 60 days from the date it was adopted.

    The Board of Supervisors moved today toward final resolution of a new fee schedule for developers with projects planned in unincorporated areas of Riverside County. In a 3-1 vote, with Supervisor Kevin Jeffries opposed, the board set Tuesday, Jan. 13, as the last day to consider further changes to the proposed development impact fee -- or DIF -- schedule.
