    Waldo County Sheriff's Office received a request for assistance from Maine State Police regarding a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on I-95 at a high rate of speed at 4:45 p.m., according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Deputy Wiley McVety responded to the request for assistance and was able to locate the suspect vehicle in Winterport.

The Lynx had much to play for in their regular season finale with the fourth and final playoff spot in Eastern Class D hanging in the balance, and it showed as the hosts put the game out of reach with a 42-point first half en route to a 61-8 win over the 'Stangs.

The Viking boys finished fifth as a team in the jayvee race, while the Viking girls, with only four runners, did not have enough participants to score as a team.
