    A 28-year-old Greenwell Springs man accused of fatally shooting two Baker men in the backseat of a car on June 1 was indicted by an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury Thursday. William Bottoms Jr., of 16708 Chickasaw Ave., was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the killing of Mohamed S. Hussain, 29, and Derrick D. Williams, 23, whose bodies were found in St. Helena Parish.

    A Baker man was indicted Thursday in the slaying of a man who went missing in January 2014 and whose remains were found last fall under a tarp along an Iberville Parish bayou. Dorsey Joseph Sims, 43, of 518 Ray Weiland Drive, was arrested in June and charged Thursday by an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury with second-degree murder in the death of Charles "C.J." Hills Jr. The grand jury took no action against Sims' brother, Dandre Brown, 28, of the same Ray Weiland Drive address, who also was booked in June on a second-degree murder count in Hills' death.
