Cross country champion Kent Slaney will run both the 1,600 and 3,200, Reed Foster qualified in the 1,600 and 800, Sam Craig will race in the 1,600 and Henry Saul competes in the 3,200.

    Menlo School's Bo Leschly and M-A's Tim Berthier were two of several players who withdrew from the Central Coast Section singles tennis tournament, which got underway Tuesday at the Imperial Courts on the campus of Cabrillo College in Aptos. That left the singles bracket with one player, James Bell of The King's Academy, from the West Bay Athletic League and no one from the Peninsula Athletic League as the league champion also withdrew.
