    Magisterial District Judge Craig Ormsby announced last week his offices will close at the end of business Tuesday and reopen June 1 at the new location in the Altoona-Blair County Airport terminal building. No new court filings will be accepted after 3 p.m. on Tuesday through May 31, and a hold will be put on mail sent to the court during this time, Ormsby said.

    Three people were left homeless and a pet cat is missing after an early Monday morning fire severely damaged a Cresson home. Firefighters were called about 12:41 a.m. to 804 Keystone Ave. where a home was engulfed in flames, Cresson Volunteer Fire Company Deputy Chief Tom Novak said.
