    A 47-year-old man who allegedly fatally shot three people Wednesday night at a Thornton Walmart had long been under financial strain after running two failed businesses, running up $58,000 in credit card debt and declaring bankruptcy, state and federal records show. Neighbors said Scott Ostrem of Arvada was "creepy" and unfriendly, and could often be seen walking with a rifle bag to his car.

Several groups opposed to Rocky Flats' opening, scheduled for next year, filed suit against Fish and Wildlife in May to halt construction of a visitor center and trails at the 6,200-acre site north of Arvada.
