    An Oglethorpe County man escaped three times from deputies in Northeast Georgia on Monday, but was finally captured when he jumped into a pond outside Arnoldsville where a state patrol helicopter hovered over him while officers with drawn pistols and Taser guns surrounded him. As the suspect paced in the pond, officers approached prompting the suspect to ask "Y'all gonna tase me in the water," according to the Oglethorpe County Sheriff's report.

    An Arnoldsville woman was released from the Madison County Jail on Sunday after she posted a $88,800 bond on numerous charges stemming from a potentially dangerous vehicle chase involving a former boyfriend. The chase last Thursday went for several miles on rural roads and two major highways in the county, according to the Madison County Sheriff's report.
