    A 59-year-old Apple Valley man was killed Thursday, Aug. 2, after being thrown from his pickup truck in a single-vehicle crash in Eagan. Thomas Robert Niederer, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene of the wreck, which happened just after noon at southbound Minnesota 77 and Minnesota 13, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
