    Jared C. Cook, 23, of 38875 County Route 24, Antwerp, was arrested by state police Friday following the investigation of an incident March 28 in which he allegedly stole a copper telephone cable outside a residence in the town of Philadelphia and burned it to get the coating off. Along with stealing about 300 feet of telephone cable - valued at about $600 - police said the suspect caused mischief at the residence of Jenna Hall, 34930 County Route 28, by leaving multiple dead animals on her front yard the morning of March 28. Various dead animals were left on the yard, including a raccoon, a possum and deer parts.
