    Maryland State Police have made seven more arrests of members of a suspected drug trafficking organization that distributed heroin and fentanyl statewide. The new arrests bring the total number charged in the alleged drug ring to 14. The 3-year-old investigation, which includes the Department of Homeland Security and Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Police, has uncovered more than 600 grams of suspected heroin and fentanyl, more than 115 grams of marijuana, nearly three kilograms of a cocaine-cutting agent, 52 prescription pills, more than $29,000 in cash, five vehicles and 74 cellphones, officials have said.

    A dozen construction workers renovating a Navy Federal Credit Union building in Odenton were hospitalized Tuesday morning for carbon monoxide exposure from a propane-powered saw, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said in a news release. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the building at 1179 Annapolis Road at about 8 a.m. The crew had been working for about three hours when they reported headaches, dizziness, nausea and difficulty breathing, the fire department said.
