    Amateur Football Club Ann Arbor were defeated 2-1 by Sporting Michigan Soccer Club in what was billed as the "Inaugural Memorial Day Classic" Monday afternoon at Hollway Field in Ann Arbor, Mich., after taking an early lead. AFC Ann Arbor returned home to Hollway Field on Memorial Day to host its third home game and also try to pick up its third victory, but Sporting Michigan SC had other ideas, besting "the Boys in Blue" with two goals from forward Owen Itota in front of its home supporters.
