The plat considered by the commission Tuesday is for the 22 acres on the east side of Williams Drive between 20th and 25th avenues north, A set of five duplexes is under construction by the intersection of 20th Avenue North and Williams Drive, but the final plat mostly addresses the rest of the area where two developers will build housing.

    Mackenzie Knigge, of Clare, and Phillip Anthony Williams, of Lafayette, Indiana, have been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of Jessica Gomez, the Webster County Sheriff's Office has reported. The State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankeny conducted an autopsy and confirmed Monday evening that the body found in the field was indeed her.
